Getting Started with Cucolori

Procedural cucoloris shadow overlay for professional video.

Welcome to Cucolori - a real-time shadow pattern generator that runs natively inside your video editor. Drop it on a clip and it casts shaped shadows across the frame, simulating natural light filtered through trees, blinds, windows, and abstract shapes.

A cucoloris (or "cookie") is any opaque material placed in front of a light to shape its shadow. Film sets use cut-out panels, tree branches, and venetian blinds to create dappled, raking light. Cucolori does the same thing in software, with full animation and keyframe control.
