Solutions for common CRTified issues.
Plugin Not Appearing
DaVinci Resolve
- Close Resolve completely
- Run the installer again
- Open Resolve
- Look in Effects Library > OpenFX > EZSCAPE > CRTified
After Effects
- Close After Effects before running the installer
- Look in Effect > EZSCAPE > CRTified
- If missing, check that the plugin is in the correct directory:
- Windows:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore\CRTified\ - macOS:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/CRTified/
- Windows:
Final Cut Pro
- Close Final Cut Pro before running the installer
- Look in Effects browser (Command-5) > Video > EZSCAPE > CRTified
- If missing, check that the plugin is at
/Library/Plug-Ins/FxPlug/CRTified.fxplug
CRTified runs best on NVIDIA RTX 2060 or newer, AMD equivalent, or Apple Silicon (M1+). It may work on older GPUs with reduced performance.
Performance
Plugin is slow or dropping frames
- Performance depends on your GPU, resolution, and which effects are enabled.
- Disable effects you're not using. Each active section adds to render time.
- The glow is the most demanding section. Reduce Halo Radius for faster rendering.
- Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.
Preview looks different from render
- Some hosts render at reduced resolution during playback. The final render will match what you see at full quality.
Presets
My saved looks disappeared
- User presets are stored on your machine in a shared folder (
%APPDATA%\CRTified\looks\on Windows,~/Library/Application Support/CRTified/looks/on macOS). They persist across all projects. - If you moved to a new machine or reinstalled your OS, your saved looks won't carry over automatically. Copy the looks folder to transfer them.
Preset looks different than expected
- Presets set all parameters. If you've modified settings after loading a preset, those changes override it.
- Use "None (Reset)" to return to factory defaults before loading a preset.
License Issues
Watermark visible after activation
- Click Refresh Status in the License section
- Close and reopen the host application
- If the issue persists, close the host app and reinstall
"Activation failed" error
- Verify your email and license key match your purchase confirmation
- Ensure you have an internet connection
- Make sure you're using the correct key for your host app (DVR key for Resolve, AE key for After Effects, FCP key for Final Cut Pro)
