Compositing
Use the output controls to decide whether Ditheron stays part of the shot or becomes a separate graphic layer.
DaVinci Resolve
For a tracking-style layer, choose Reactive Modern > Structure: GUI > Blob Look: Blob Track. Background: Original keeps the source image. Background: Black replaces its RGB with black while retaining source alpha. Background: Transparent outputs tracked-effect coverage only.
Put the active element over a clip with Wet and Dry, or use Extract Active Alpha when the selected mode exposes it.
After Effects
Use Wet and Dry to keep a graphic treatment tied to the footage. Use an active-element plate when the comp needs the treatment on a separate layer. The available alpha controls depend on the selected host and mode.
Final Cut Pro
Use Wet and Dry for an integrated look. Use a host-visible active-element output when the edit needs a separate treatment layer.
Build a graphic layer
-
Choose GUI > Blob Track when the tracking-style treatment is the layer.
-
Set Background to Original, Black, or Transparent for the intended composite.
-
Use Wet and Dry for an integrated mix, or use Extract Active Alpha when available for a plate.
-
Place the result over the footage and tune the blend in the timeline.
Signal and Order do not expose Extract Active Alpha. Keep those modes integrated with Wet and Dry.
